vim-signature is a plugin to place, toggle and display marks.
Apart from the above, you can also
- Navigate forward/backward by position/alphabetical order
- Displaying multiple marks (upto 2, limited by the signs feature)
- Placing custom signs !@#$%^&*() as visual markers
